This post is regarding the website development (or rather, product development), strategy that we are adopting at Modifyed Digital. The idea of this post is to give you insights about how we approach site design, development, marketing, etc.
This is my third year running a digital agency. The biggest drawback I’ve seen is that we are so consumed with client work that we rarely find the time or resources for working on our own marketing (especially digital marketing). Hence, now we have taken it upon ourselves to consistently and gradually also work on our own digital marketing initiatives. Again, this has stemmed from client complaints. If we pitch for a social media project, we often hear “You’re not active on social media!”! When we pitch for website design projects, its “Your website is not updated” or “You’re not ranking on Google search”!
We will adopt a very lean, scrum-based agile approach where we will plan out a year’s worth of activities and feature development, break it up into quarters, then months, eventually weeks. Hence, it will ensure that after a year, we will have a well-designed, well-developed and consistently updated website. The objectives of our website would be:
- Describe our services and products (Obviously)
- Showcase our best work (Portfolio)
- Share best practices (Case studies)
- Share our approach, insights and ideas (Blog)
- Generate revenue (E-commerce)
- Build a Community (for engaging with clients, employees, fans, partners and the larger ecosystem)
Stay tuned for more.
